Planned Giving

With careful gift planning and a good financial advisor, you can prepare your will and/or other estate plans so that the people you want to include in your plans - family, special friends, employees and charities - can benefit according to your wishes, while supporting the Foundation at the same time.

Some of the planned giving opportunities available to you are charitable remainder annuity trusts, gift annuity agreements, revocable living trust agreements and pooled income funds, just to name a few. We have detailed information about many different planned gifts that will allow you to satisfy your important financial concerns. To choose the best plan for you while maximizing the impact of your gift, contact your attorney, financial advisor or our Foundation office at (716) 447-6204.

Bequests

Anyone can make a charitable bequest, regardless of the size of the gift. By choosing to support Kenmore Mercy Hospital with a bequest in your will, you are helping to ensure that Kenmore Mercy will continue to serve our community for years to come.

Bequests for the benefit of Kenmore Mercy Hospital should be made to the Kenmore Mercy Hospital Foundation, which accepts, manages and distributes gifts on behalf of the hospital. The following sample bequest language will ensure that your gift directly benefits the hospital for the purpose you specify.

Sample Bequest Language
"I give, devise, and bequeath to the Kenmore Mercy Foundation, a nonprofit organization, headquartered in Kenmore, NY, the (sum of $______) or (_____% of my estate) or (the property described herein) or (the remainder of my estate) to benefit the Kenmore Mercy Hospital."

If you would like to restrict your gift to a particular service area, the Foundation would be pleased to work with you and your legal advisor on the specific language to ensure that your gift can and will be used as you intend.

A bequest gift offers many advantages to you as well! You may be able to lower your estate taxes and it gives you control over where your assets will be disbursed. Speak with your attorney or contact our Foundation office at (716) 447-6204.
