Kenmore Mercy Hospital Foundation

Supporting Kenmore Mercy Hospital Since 1980

Our Mission

The mission of Kenmore Mercy Foundation is to raise charitable contributions to provide key financial support to Kenmore Mercy Hospital for educational programs, patient services, and capital projects.

Message from the Foundation President:

On behalf of the Kenmore Mercy Foundation Board of Trustees and staff, I would like to thank you for your continued support of Kenmore Mercy Hospital. I want to take this opportunity to share with you some of the successes you, our donors, made possible in 2011.

Our Annual Fund Campaign, which includes donations from our volunteer Board of Trustees, the business community, hospital employees, patients, physicians, parishes and our Kenmore Mercy Foundation friends, raised a total of $137,925.

The Kenmore Mercy Foundation Golf & Wine event, held in June, was a great success raising $155,620 and surpassing it's goal by over $5,000. Event Chairman, Robert Beck, Vice President of John W. Danforth Company, along with the committee and volunteers, did a fantastic job of growing the event and increasing community support. Our annual A Tribute to Angels event, held in November, raised $133,050. We are pleased to announce that James Rykowski, Vice President of Commercial Lending for Evans Bank, will serve as Chairman of this event once again in 2012 and will continue to develop the committee, volunteers and community support.

We are honored to provide key financial support to Kenmore Mercy Hospital through our Grants to Hospital program. Last year, this program included the funding of 72 Staff Education Grants totaling $30,600 for nurses, technicians and hospital associates. The Foundation also funded $28,450 in Mini Grants for 18 hospital departments to help better serve our patients and their families.

The Foundation proudly committed to funding $50,000 to Kenmore Mercy Hospital for Capital Equipment Grants which included the purchase of a new bladder scanner [3 East], Allen Medical Yellofin stirrups [OR], two Blood Pressure Modules [MRU], a Phillips CO2 monitor [ICU], a telemetry transmitter [3 East], a steam table [Dietary] and a biphasic defibrillator [Nursing Administration].

I am excited to share that in, to date, the Foundation has successfully raised $925,000 towards their $1 million commitment for the construction of the new Emergency Department at Kenmore Mercy Hospital. We are all looking forward to the construction which is scheduled to begin in the coming weeks!

As the year continues to progress, please check back often to see what other exciting news the Foundation has to offer. On behalf of the Board of Trustees and the Foundation staff, thank you for your generous support of Kenmore Mercy Foundation and Kenmore Mercy Hospital.

Sincerely,

Nancy R. Dobson
