Kenmore Mercy Hospital Receives Pathway
to Excellence Designation
Kenmore Mercy Hospital is the first hospital in Western New York to be awarded the prestigious Pathway to Excellence® designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
As a Pathway to Excellence® designated organization, Kenmore Mercy Hospital must meet specific standards of practice. These standards are deemed critical in providing a work environment in which nurses can flourish. One of these requirements is offering professional development opportunities to nurses. With funding and support from the Kenmore Mercy Foundation, the hospital scored exemplary status in this area.
As part of the Kenmore Mercy Foundation's Grants to Hospital program, staff education grants are awarded to Kenmore Mercy Hospital associates for attending educational conferences, seminars and trainings. Associates are able to refine their skills, expand their knowledge and learn the newest advancements in their fields; all necessary components in continuing to provide high quality patient care.
Kenmore Mercy Hospital and the Kenmore Mercy Foundation both value nurses and what they identify as important to their practice. The Pathway to Excellence® designation signifies that Kenmore Mercy Hospital has high ratings of nurse satisfaction and retention. To ensure those rates remain high, the Kenmore Mercy Foundation is dedicated to granting funds for the education of Kenmore Mercy Hospital associates.
Staff education grants would not be possible without the support received from Foundation friends, the community, local business, former patients of KMH, associates, physicians and the Foundation's Board of Trustees. Donations made to the Foundation directly support this endeavor; please consider a donation to the Kenmore Mercy Foundation today.
