Nancy R. Dobson
Nancy R. Dobson joined the Kenmore Mercy Foundation Board of Trustees in 1998 and has served in many capacities including as President of the Board from 2004-2014.
Nancy co-founded Uniland Development in 1974 and has served in a variety of capacities including Director of Property Management and Vice President of Marketing. She received a Bachelor of Science from St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana. In her current position as Executive Vice President, Nancy's primary responsibilities include the direction of day-to-day operations with a concentration on the Marketing, Design and Property Management Departments. She is also responsible for strategic planning and new development.
Nancy is active in many regional business and community organizations including her work with Kenmore Mercy Foundation where she has been a constant leader and a long time financial supporter.
In 2008, Nancy aided the Foundation in obtaining a $500,000 grant from the New York State Legislature and former Senator Mary Lou Rath. This significant grant was used to fund the purchase of a Multipurpose Endovascular C-Arm System, which allows for computerized tomography in the hospital’s new Endovascular Unit.
In 2009 Nancy and Uniland Development were honored at the Foundation's A Tribute to Angels event where she received the Sister Mary Mechtilde Memorial Award. The Sister Mary Mechtilde Memorial Award was established in 1980 by the Kenmore Mercy Foundation. The award honors outstanding individuals in the community who have demonstrated a dedication to community service, visionary leadership, excellence in medical care and the ideals of unselfish service towards others – qualities exemplified by Sister Mary Mechtilde O’Connor, RSM, foundress and first administrator of Kenmore Mercy Hospital.
