Our health is one of the personal investment we could have. It’s very important that one should take care of his health.. seriously. In an era where “instant” play a crucial role in our lifestyle, we become more at risk to sicknesses and develop diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, communicable diseases, immunodeficiency disorders and environmental diseases.
Moreover, it’s not just merely a lack of something, a resistance to a substance or short of like an inadequate healthy living but looming issues that probably has to do something with how we were created. Our biological framework could have influenced the development of such diseases, thus, the development of heart failure, immunity disorder, diabetes 1 and 2, or other rare infections are partly pre-determined.
Unhealthy Lifestyle Practices
We aren’t created equal. Some people might have born with birth defects or most probably, we deprive ourselves with things that may benefit us. Things such as healthy food, healthy environment, a sound body and mind or even access to proper health care.
Rise Of Common Diseases
Among all the common diseases that found to be prevalent among youths and adults is the rise of diabetes. While the Type 1 destroys the beta cells in the pancreas, thus, the inability to produce insulin. The Type 2, however, acts differently. It doesn’t destroy the insulin-producing beta cells. Either the pancreas wouldn’t produce little to no insulin or it wouldn’t process the insulin altogether which results for the glucose not entering the cells. Instead, the insulin builds up in the bloodstream. Since cells aren’t getting the glucose they need to function, it leads to greater damages in all parts of the body.
The Cause Of Type 2 Diabetes
The primary causes of Type 2 can be attributed to two factors, hereditary and lifestyle.
1 – Hereditary
It is believed that the type 2 maybe linked to our genetics. This disease runs in the family and passed down generation by generation. Checking our medical family history is advised in order to know whether we are at risk of such disease. And taking the test for this insulin resistant disease is a priority.
2 – Lifestyle
We get that our life nowadays is so hectic and financially unstable that sometimes we tend to forget go eat, to exercise, to take care of our well-being, to take an ample amount of sleep, to drink water and eat healthy foods. To much junk foods could lead to obesity. Avoidance of eating a lot of carbs and sugary foods should be a strict discipline.
