Michael Landi MD, FACS, is CEO of Brain and Spine Medical Services, PLLC, Chief of Neurological Surgery at Kenmore Mercy Hospital and Vice President of the Kenmore Mercy Foundation Board of Trustees. 

Dr. Landi is originally from Evanston, Illinois & relocated to Buffalo in 1988. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical and computer engineering and his Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York at Buffalo. His training in general and neurological surgery were also completed in Buffalo. Dr. Landi received additional specialized training in pediatric neurosurgery at the Children's Hospital of Buffalo and training in gamma knife radio surgery at the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Landi is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons and the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the University at Buffalo. His strong clinical and research interests in minimally invasive surgical techniques have resulted in numerous United States Patents and national awards for developing new technology. He is the inventor of the Minrad laser targeting system used in spine surgery internationally. His research has been presented at national and international scientific meetings and published in numerous scientific articles.

He has been a key leadership figure and long time financial supporter of Kenmore Mercy Foundation and has involved the Brain and Spine in sponsoring numerous events such as A Tribute to Angels and The Bob A. Saldanha Memorial Golf & Wine Event. Center

In November of 2010, he will be honored at Kenmore Mercy Foundation's A Tribute to Angels event with the presentation of the Sister Mary Mechtilde Memorial Award. This award was established in 1980 by the Kenmore Mercy Foundation. The award honors outstanding individuals in the community who have demonstrated a dedication to community service, visionary leadership, excellence in medical care and the ideals of unselfish service towards others – qualities exemplified by Sister Mary Mechtilde O’Connor, RSM, foundress and first administrator of Kenmore Mercy Hospital.
